Psalm 145:1-3 Praise His Name!

Postby dbltree on Tue Mar 09, 2010 1:50 am

Psalm 145
1 I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 Every day I will praise you
and extol your name for ever and ever.

3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.

Riding home from the Iowa Deer Classic I couldn't help but think about how awesome God is and the amazing ways He has brought outdoors-people together in His name...light where once there was darkness. That said I have some praises to share if I may...

Praise God...for 3 men willing to stand up and share a devotional and morning worship service, willing to take a risk to share the Good News and Light where only a few years ago, there was not so much as a flicker....

Praise God....for 2 men willing to sacrifice time and take risks to be a light and hope in the lives of teenage boys in desperate need of mentors who genuinely care.

Praise God...for men willing to share their testimony, to say..."YEAH....I found hope in His Grace and my life has been forever changed"...

Praise God...for someone who knows a hug speaks volumes and spreads the Light like wildfire.

Praise God...for simple gestures of kindness sent forth in the form of cookies.

Praise God...for a job when one was needed, for healing for a hurting heart, for couples willing to take great risks to adopt children longing for real parents.

Praise God....for changing someone like me, once useless...to usefulness in a way that is honoring to Him.

Today...take a moment to just praise God for all the awesome things He has done in our lives...if nothing comes to mind, c-mon back and perhaps we can give you an idea or two...;)
When I get where I'm going....don't cry for me down here...

Can I play???

Praise God...for 3 men who started a website in hopes of gathering outdoorsman and outdoorswoman to share and express their faith and love for God and family. An avenue in which many others have been brought to faith. And from a personal standpoint, has helped me take my own faith and understanding to a level I've never had before. ;)

Praise God...for the daily devotionals that Paul puts together which inspires us and that we start our days with.

Praise God...for a prayer forum that when someone is in need, immediate prayers are offered up for them and their needs - whatever they may be.

Make it a great day - 8-)

Praise God........for Outreach Outdoors where we are encouraged daily by example to be Salt and Light to the World and where we see people daily on the forum with the desire to be just like Jesus. What encouragement to all of us!

Praise God for times when you desperately need encouragement; ask God for it, and it has come down like water over Niagara Falls.

Praise God for all the great people on this site...thanks
"...once your enemy, now seated at your table...thank You."

Praise God...for no matter how bad things seems to be going, and how disrupted life seems to be, that we have each other and a God that will always stand by our side and guide us, protect us, and not give us more than we can handle.
Stewardship is what a man does after he says, "I believe."

Praise God... for the little things. A smile, a hug and a kind word.

Praise God...for nice strangers that offer a helping hand.

Praise God...for the men and women that protect us everyday.

Praise God...for this has been an extremely up-lifing thread and a tremendous reminder that He is "everything" that is good.
