One of my Christian counselors was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis -ALS ) a fatal disease that destroys the nerve cells in the central nervous system that control voluntary muscle movement.
Connie is a sweet wonderful lady who was instrumental in helping my wife heal from her childhood abuse and has worked with countless others struggling with emotional issues. She is a reminder that even though we walk with God and work for His glory daily, we may still be called upon to suffer further for Him.
While Connie wil not recover from ALS I would ask you to please join me in praying that God will minimize her suffering and that as she continues to counsel, she will be an inspiration to others as they see her undying faith and trust in Christ.
Connie is at peace knowing she will eventually rest with Jesus and when she is, she will never feel pain or fear again......

I will pray that her suffering is eased and that the people around her will find comfort in knowing she will be with Jesus eventually.

I will pray for Connie...I have two aunts with ALS, one on each side of my family. They both have learned how to live with it and seem to both be in remission or in a slow progression of the disease. They both have recieved alot of help through the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Thank God for all of those that Connie has already reached. I'll pray that she contiues to be used by Him to reach those around her.

I will add Connie to my list this evening. Knowing someone is at peace with God during a situation like this makes it just as comforting for the prayer-giver as much as the person being prayed for.

I'm sorry to hear of Connie's illness. I'll pray for remission and advancements in treatment.
