Deerfriend and I went shed hunting today and ACTUALLY found something, at least he did. He found a matched set to a 1.5 old only 3 feet apart. Pretty fun day out in the woods. Got a lot of pics and video footage of the find. I'm sure he will be posting pics in a short time. Also found some more pretty nice rubs, what a difference a week makes in the woods. Last week there was 6+ inches of snow covering the ground, now there is nothing.

DeerFriend asked me to post these for him... just a little guy, but they are the hardest to find!

That's funny, matched sets of any size are hard to find!

I put my cams back out last week to try get some good turkey pics. No turkey pics this week, but had a little buck (on Mar 18) still carrying both sides yet. Guess I will wait a couple weeks and start my shed hunting over again :? From the looks of the pics on the shed contest forum, if I can pick up those sheds and another 800 inches of bone, I might be in the running!
Our tactic with conservation and hunting should be to take others into our world and then lead by example.

Last night deer friend and i went out to a new piece of property that i acquired and put in a food plot. It's about a 1/2 acre i would say. About 2/3 of it, i made a mix of clover and chicory. The other 1/3 was a summer/spring lablab, cowpeas, and sorghum mix. We'll have to see how it comes up, it's a very sandy piece of property. One good sign, i went to walk in the woods to check out an overgrown 4 wheeler trail and within 5 minutes i walked up on a shed, that's GOT to be a good omen right?
To say the least we are very pumped about this new acquisition. It hasn't been bowhunted in 3 years and before that the owner was consistantly getting 130" to 155" bucks out of there. Pics of planting the new plot and it's progress will be posted soon.......

Found shed...consistent 135-150" bucks...food plot planted...

That all sounds like a great start to the new property!
